What Jodel says about itself
Jodel's home page calls it the hyperlocal community and says it connects you instantly with the people around you. Its page lists "no profiles" and says most users are young professionals and students. We read this on https://jodel.com on October 24, 2026. Its page does not say which cities are active, so check it for yours.
Where BLK Chat is different
BLK Chat is a chat first: you join a city room and the conversation runs in order, instead of reading a feed of posts. It also has direct and group messages.
Safety and moderation
BLK Chat has visible report and block controls, author deletion, moderator review, rule explanations and an appeal path. Automated tools may help prioritize reports but do not replace human review.
How it works

- Pick an available city, or allow optional location for a nearby one.
