BLK Chat (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services (the “Service”).
By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.
If you sign up using a third-party service (such as Apple or Google), we may receive information from that service, such as your name and email address, as permitted by that service’s privacy settings.

We may share your information in the following circumstances:
Your username, profile photo, and content you post are visible to other users in your city chatroom. Your precise location is never shared with other users.
We use third-party vendors to operate the Service, including Firebase for authentication, Convex for application data and storage, RevenueCat and the applicable app store for purchase and subscription management, Expo and platform push services for notifications, Google AdMob for advertising, and Singular Labs for advertising measurement. These providers process only the information needed to perform their services under their own terms and privacy commitments.
We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; protect the rights, property, or safety of BLK Chat, our users, or the public; detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We may share information with third parties when you give us consent to do so.
We use Singular Labs, a mobile measurement partner, as a service provider on iOS and Android. Singular collects device identifiers: IDFV on iOS, IDFA on iOS only if you allow tracking, and the advertising ID and App Set ID on Android. It also collects your IP address to determine your country, not your precise location. It collects your device model, operating system and app version, and language.
Singular records installs, sessions, paywall views, trial starts and paid purchases. RevenueCat forwards purchase and renewal events to Singular. Device identifiers link these data to you. We use these data for analytics and to measure which ads lead to installs, trials and purchases.
Ad networks receive conversion results so we can optimize ad spending. These networks include Apple Ads, Meta, Google, TikTok and Reddit. When you allow tracking on iOS, this use of data is tracking as Apple defines it.
On iOS, choose "Ask App Not to Track" in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change your choice in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, go to Settings > Google > Ads > Delete advertising ID. These controls affect advertising identifiers; they do not delete data already collected.
Our website uses the Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel. When you visit a page, they record which page you opened and whether you tapped an App Store or Google Play link, along with your IP address, browser type and cookie IDs. Meta and TikTok use this to tell us which ads brought people to the site, and they may use it to show you ads. To stop it, turn on tracking protection in your browser or use a content blocker.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. We may also retain and use information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Messages remain available until you delete them, a moderator removes them under our policies, or you delete your account. Deleting your account removes your profile and associated personal information from our active systems, subject to limited retention required for safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You can update, correct, or delete your account information at any time through the app settings. See our account deletion page for the in-app steps and support route.
You can control location permissions through your device settings. You can select a city manually without sharing device GPS, and disabling location services may limit automatic city suggestions.
You can opt out of receiving push notifications through your device settings.
The free version may display ads through Google AdMob. You can decline tracking permission and continue using the app with non-personalized ads. For iOS tracking settings, Android advertising ID controls and deletion requests, see “Advertising measurement (Singular)” above.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, as well as data portability.

If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.
The Service is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
